I started improving my health when I began my running journey in 2020. Run after run up and down my community I became familiar with the ack at the deli on the corner, the sanitation worker keeping my streets clean; the woman who holds the door in exchange for change at the liquor store; and the man who lives towards the side of the park where I end my runs these past few years. I’m running for Odyssey house because for more than 50 years Odyssey House has been helping New Yorkers "get real" about their recovery. I want to continue my journey of running for my health while supporting my community as they “get real” about their recovery one run at a time
